West of the Jordaan district you’ll find the Westerpark. The history of this bustling park goes back to 1890. It was built near the former Westergasfabriek. Nowadays, the premises of the factory have a cultural function, which has given the whole area a huge boost. The Westerpark is a green, energetic and creative meeting place.
