The Amstelpark was established for the 1972 world horticultural exhibition that took place in Amsterdam. Afterwards the park was kept in its original state. Although the park is a bit further outside the city centre, a visit is worthwhile. In this flowery park you’ll find a rosarium, various gardens, a petting zoo, playground, train and maze. There are beautiful walking routes through water features and a huge variety of gardens. The park covers 40 hectares and attracts more than 1 million visitors a year.
